If you're flying into Canada from overseas — and many of our guests come from Europe and Asia — renting an RV in Calgary or Vancouver is one of the best ways to experience the Canadian Rockies. From towering mountain passes and turquoise lakes to relaxing lakeside resorts and endless ATV trails, it's a road trip you'll never forget.
Starting from Calgary
Calgary gets you into the mountains quickly. From the airport, it's about a 4.5-hour drive to Revelstoke, one of the most popular mountain destinations in British Columbia. Along the way you'll travel through Banff National Park, with opportunities to stop in Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise (any of these are beautiful stops and also very busy)
From Revelstoke, it's only about an hour to Sicamous, the Houseboat Capital of Canada, and another 20 minutes to Mara Lake, where warm water, sandy beaches, and relaxing lakeside camping await.
Starting from Vancouver
If you're flying into Vancouver, you can experience one of Western Canada's best one-way RV road trips. Travel east along the Trans-Canada Highway through the Fraser Valley to White Lake, a peaceful lakeside retreat perfect for fishing, paddling, and relaxing. Continue to Sicamous or Mara Lake to enjoy the warm waters and beaches of the Shuswap before heading to Revelstoke for mountain adventures, hiking, and alpine scenery.
From Revelstoke, continue through Glacier National Park and Yoho National Park to Lake Louise. If Jasper National Park is on your bucket list, don't miss the opportunity to drive the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93)—widely considered one of the world's most scenic highways. Stretching nearly 230 kilometres between Lake Louise and Jasper, the route winds past glaciers, turquoise lakes, waterfalls, towering peaks, and incredible wildlife.
After exploring Jasper, continue just over two hours east to Pinnacle Trails Resort near Edson, Alberta. It's the perfect place to slow down after your mountain adventure, offering spacious RV sites, a peaceful lake setting, direct access to kilometres of ATV trails, and family-friendly amenities. Many guests finish their journey here before continuing to Edmonton to return their RV and fly home, creating an unforgettable road trip through the very best of British Columbia and Alberta.

Classic BC Adventure
Fly into Calgary → Revelstoke (2–3 nights) → Sicamous or Mara Lake (3–4 nights) → White Lake (2 nights) → return to Calgary or continue to Vancouver.
Rockies & Jasper Adventure
Fly into Calgary → Banff → Lake Louise → Icefields Parkway → Jasper → Pinnacle Trails Resort (2–3 nights) → return to Calgary.
Cross-Province Adventure
Fly into Vancouver → White Lake → Sicamous → Mara Lake → Revelstoke → Lake Louise → Jasper → Edmonton.
What to Expect at Our Resorts
Whether you're travelling in a rented RV or your own motorhome, our resorts are designed for relaxing outdoor vacations. Most RV sites include 30-amp power, water, and sewer hookups, surrounded by trees rather than rows of pavement. Rates start from $65+ per night in the shoulder season and $85+ per night during peak summer, depending on the resort and site type.
Quiet hours are observed from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am so everyone can enjoy peaceful evenings, and pets are welcome at all RV sites and most accommodations (glamping tents excluded).
Booking Tips for International Guests
If you're planning to travel during July or August, reserve both your RV rental and your resort stays several months in advance. Summer is Canada's busiest camping season, and availability can fill quickly.
Rather than trying to visit too many destinations, we recommend spending at least two or three nights at each resort. You'll spend less time driving and more time hiking, swimming, paddling, relaxing around the campfire, and exploring everything each destination has to offer.

Yes. Vancouver is an excellent starting point for visiting White Lake, Sicamous, Mara Lake, and Revelstoke before continuing east through Banff and back to Calgary if you're planning a one-way trip.
